We are thrilled to welcome our Spring 2026 intern cohort to the School the World family! Each semester, we have the privilege of working alongside passionate, driven collegiate interns who bring fresh energy and perspective to our organization. This semester, our interns will be contributing to projects across communications, development, programs, and operations — all in support of our mission to provide access to quality education in underserved communities around the world.
Without further ado, please join us in giving a warm welcome to our five newest team members!
Allison Early (she/her) is a junior at Simmons University studying sociology and communications, originally from Scarborough, Maine. With expertise in video production and sustainable practices, Allison is eager to channel her skills toward making real-world, measurable impacts on the global community. We’re excited to see the creative lens she brings to our communications work this semester.
Elyse Bloom (she/her) is a sophomore at Boston University studying political science and public relations, originally from Newtown, Pennsylvania. Elyse’s passion lies at the intersection of social justice and educational equality, and she is eager to put that passion to work by supporting efforts that expand access to quality education for communities worldwide. We’re so glad to have her on the team.
Micah Joyce Guillermo (she/her) is a senior at Simmons University studying political science and communications, originally from Gonzaga, Philippines. Micah brings a strong background in public health and advocacy, and she is excited to apply her communications expertise to support meaningful, mission-driven initiatives while deepening her experience in the nonprofit sector. Her perspective and dedication are a wonderful addition to our team.
Mona Mohtadi (she/her) is a junior at Suffolk University studying computer science, originally from Chelsea, Massachusetts. Mona was drawn to School the World by the opportunity to explore how educational technology can be used to empower communities rather than limit them — a question that sits at the very heart of our work. We can’t wait to see how her technical skills shape our programs this spring.
Ruby Espinosa (she/her) is a senior at Boston University studying business administration, originally from San Diego, California. Ruby is motivated by the chance to use her business and analytical skills to strengthen the behind-the-scenes operations that allow nonprofit organizations like ours to thrive. She is committed to supporting the sustainable systems that drive long-term, meaningful impact.
This talented group will be an integral part of our team throughout the spring semester, and we are so proud to support them as they grow into the next generation of global changemakers. Welcome, Allison, Elyse, Micah, Mona, and Ruby — we can’t wait to see the impact you’ll make!
