Here are 6 ideas for how you can raise money to support students on their journey to education.

Summer Fundraising Ideas

• 🎂 Birthday Give Up and Give Back: Instead of birthday gifts, ask your family and friends to donate to your cause.
• 👨‍🍼🐾 Babysitting or Pet Sitting: Ask around your community or check local community pages to see if you can help out!
• 🌳✂️ Landscaping: Got a green thumb? Offer to mow the lawn or help garden for your neighbors!
• 📱🔗 Use Social Media! Post or print out a QR code and link it to your fundraising page or Venmo account!
• 🚗💦 Make a Car Washing Service: Create a carwash within your community and recruit your friends to make it fun and raise money!
• 🎟️ Host a Raffle: Reach out to local businesses and ask them to donate raffle items. For example, restaurant gift cards, fitness classes, movie tickets, or physical items. Sell raffle tickets online or make an event out of it! Barbecues are a great option now that it is summer.

Tips and Tricks

• Set a challenging yet attainable goal!
• Create a pitch: Why are you passionate about this? Be prepared to explain this to potential donors.
• Make sure to connect with potential donors through a handwritten letter, email, and/or thank you note
• Team up! You can always work with friends who are also interested in the cause.
• Step out of your comfort zone. The worst that could happen is someone says no thank you!
• Believe in yourself, you’ve got this! HAVE FUN!
